Welcome to AoT. These terms set out the rights, obligations and responsibilities between the Company and users in relation to the spatial resource management solution and related services the Company provides.

1. Definitions

  • “Company” means the entity providing the AoT service.
  • “User” means the legal entity or individual using the services the Company provides under these terms.
  • “Service” means the map-based monitoring, remote control, digital twin tools, reports and related additional services the Company provides.

2. Provision and modification of the service

The Company provides the following services.

  • GIS map-based visualisation and asset management of outdoor spatial resources
  • Environmental monitoring using satellite and weather data
  • Location-based digital notes and record sharing
  • Remote and automatic device control against rules you configure
  • Other management support services specialised to a given sector (infrastructure, transport, agriculture and so on)

3. User obligations

  • Users must provide accurate and complete information in order to use the service.
  • Users are responsible for managing their own account and password, and must not let a third party use them.
  • Responsibility for remote control settings: configuring and managing automatic control rules (timing, environmental conditions and so on) is the user's responsibility, and the Company is not liable for outcomes caused by configuration errors.

4. Fees and payment

  • Service fees follow the amounts stated in a separate proposal or on the service page.
  • Payment is by monthly or annual subscription, or by whatever method a separate contract provides for.
  • Unpaid fees may result in restricted access to the service, and late interest may apply.

5. Intellectual property

  • Intellectual property rights in all software, design, technology and report formats relating to the service belong to the Company.
  • For the duration of use, the user holds a non-exclusive right to use the service for their own internal business purposes only.
  • User data: notes recorded through the service, uploaded asset information and the like belong to the user, and the Company may use them only within the scope needed to operate and improve the service.
  • 5.1 Software ownership: all intellectual property rights in the AoT software underlying the service, the platform architecture, the design, the logo and the brand assets belong to the Company (the AoT team).
  • 5.2 Open source licence (GNU GPL v3): the core software of this service is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3 (GPLv3). Under that licence you are free to run, study, copy, modify and redistribute the software. If you distribute a modified version, you are obliged to release its source code under the same GPL v3 licence.
  • 5.3 Ownership of user data: field records (notes) entered while using the service, control logic configured, asset location information and similar are treated as the user's own assets. The Company may refer to that data only within the minimum scope needed to operate the service and provide technical support.
  • 5.4 Trademark protection: separately from use of the source code under the licence, using the name “AoT” or its logo commercially so as to impersonate the Company or create the impression of being an official partner is prohibited.

6. Confidentiality

Neither the Company nor the user may disclose to a third party the other party's trade secrets or non-public information learned in the course of using the service. This obligation survives the end of service use.

7. Limitation of liability

  • Data accuracy: satellite data and weather information may differ slightly from actual site conditions depending on the provider, and the Company does not warrant the results of judgements based on them.
  • Control systems: the Company is not liable for control failures caused by unstable communications (Wi-Fi, LTE and so on) or by faulty on-site hardware, absent intent or gross negligence on its part.
  • To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Company's total liability may not exceed the fees the user paid the Company for the service in question over the preceding 12 months.

8. Termination

  • Either party may terminate the service agreement by written notice, including email.
  • Where termination is due to the user's fault, any refund of fees already paid follows the Company's refund policy.

9. Changes to these terms

The Company may change these terms where necessary, and will give notice in advance through announcements on the website. A user who does not agree to the changed terms may stop using the service.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Korea. For disputes arising in relation to use of the service, the court with jurisdiction over the location of the Company's head office is agreed as the competent court.
